MUSHROOMHEAD Fan Assaulted In Cleveland
December 23, 2004The following message has been posted at MUSHROOMHEAD's official web site:
"On Monday night [Dec. 20] in Cleveland, Ohio, a fan by the name of Cloyce Wolfe was assaulted after the MUSHROOMHEAD show at the House of Blues. He was robbed, had his ankles, wrists and ribs broken, and was left unconscious in the parking lot until 5 a.m. Senseless acts like this are intolerable and inexcusable. The band is aware of this situation. They care about all their fans and wish to pay him a visit in the hospital to at least hopefully lift his spirits. We need to pull together and look out for one another to prevent such incidents from happening."
Regarding the band's recently completed tour, MUSHROOMHEAD samplist, Rick "Stitch" Thomas, had the following to say:
"This past tour went really well, crowds were good energy was up more than ever. I personally put a lot of physical abuse on myself this run while onstage and now i can barely move, lol. I think the worst is past with the replacement of [vocalist] JMann, Waylon has been kicking some major ass recently, he's getting really comfortable lately and it's starting to feel completely normal sharing the stage with him. Glad to have BILE out this time, a few nights I threw on blacklight paint and did vocals on stage with them for 'I Reject' and 'You're A Fucking Loser'. That was a blast and Im glad they were as into it as I was. Hope to do more tours with them in the future."
MUSHROOMHEAD are scheduled to begin pre-production for their new album in early 2005. A summer release through an as-yet-undetermined label is expected.
